Dr Naomi Burke is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the Rotunda Hospital and Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. She obtained her medical degree from Trinity College in 2006. She completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Rotunda Hospital, Galway University Hospital, St. James’ Hospital and worked as Assistant Master in the Coombe Women and Infants University Hospital. She worked as a clinical lecturer for the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She developed an interest in post graduate medical education throughout her career. Dr Burke has presented research work both nationally and internationally. She carried out research into platelet function in pregnancy and was lead researcher for Perinatal Ireland which carried out a large multi-centre project to predict the risk of Caesarean Section. Her clinical interests include; labour ward obstetrics and medical and surgical management of benign gynaecological conditions including abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, urinary incontinence and pelvic floor prolapse.
