The Private Clinics RMS services welcome all referrals for the investigation, diagnosis and treatment of male and female subfertility, recurrent miscarriage and reproductive gynaecology.  Our Specialists providing consultations and treatments are Dr Rishi Roopnarinesingh and Dr Edgar Mocanu.  For details on their profiles please read below.

If you are a patient looking for an appointment for a consultation and advice on subfertility or reproductive/ gynaecological surgery please use the contact details below to request a consultation appointment.

Please ensure that the following investigations are performed prior to your visit (talk to your GP) and bring results with you:


Hormonal profile (Day 3,4 or 5 of cycle; FSH, LH, Oestradiol, TFT’s, Prolactin)

Mid-luteal phase progesterone level (If regular periods)

Rubella immunity (within the last 2 years)

Smear test (within last 3 years)

HSG if performed


Semen analysis in an IVF unit laboratory close to your home.

 Dr Rishi Roopnarinesingh Dr Rishi Roopnarinesingh MD, MRCOG, FRCPI
Dr Rishi Roopnarinesingh is a consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and also in the Assisted Reproduction / IVF unit (HARI Clinic).

He received his Medical Degree from the University of the West Indies in June 1993 and has trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Trinidad (W.I.), Birmingham (U.K.) and Ireland. He worked as Assistant Master at both the Rotunda Hospital and the National Maternity Hospital between 2003 and 2006. Dr. Roopnarinesingh has been a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (U.K.) since May 1998 and was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Specialists Training in Ireland in 2004. He is also a member of both the Irish and British Fertility Societies and the European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (Minimal Access / “Key-Hole” Surgery).

His clinical interests are in general Obstetrics and Reproductive Medicine. Dr.Roopnarinesingh’s thesis was on hypertensive disorders in pregnancy (High Blood Pressure) and he has also co-authored a textbook of Obstetrics. He has published other scientific papers in general obstetrics and gynaecology and subfertility.

Dr. Roopnarinesingh works only on the premises of the Rotunda Hospital.

He is married and has three children.

Dr Mocanu received his MD from Iuliu Hatieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 1993 and did his residency in Ireland in the three maternities in Dublin, Coombe Women’s Hospital, Rotunda Hospital and National Maternity Hospital as well as St James’s and Adelaide Hospitals. He is a Registered Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a certified Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery (RCOG, London). In 2005 he was appointed as Consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist to the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin. He holds a Doctor in Medicine degree from Trinity College, Dublin and a postgraduate Diploma in Ethics from Keele University.
He is a founding member, past-President of the Irish Fertility Society (IFS), member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). His national and international contributions include member of the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Clinical Advisory Group, Oncofertility Advisor to the National Cancer Control Programme, Coordinator of the ESHRE EUTCD Task Force, ESHRE EIM Steering Committee Member and Treasurer of the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS). Academically, he is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and an RCOG trainer in the RMS Subspecialty. Dr Mocanu is responsible for the Reproductive Endocrinology component in the RCSI undergraduate medical student curriculum.
