Niamh is a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology and a certified specialist in benign advanced gynaecology.

Niamh graduated from UCD in 2004. She completed her higher specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in Ireland. She has worked in the Rotunda, the National Maternity Hospital, St Vincent’s University Hospital, St Michael’s Hospital, the Coombe Women and Infants University Hospital, Our Lady of Lourdes hospital, Limerick Maternity Hospital and St James’s Hospital. Niamh spent 4 years at the UCD Centre for Human Reproduction at the Coombe Hospital researching exercise and its role in preventing diabetes in pregnancy and was awarded a PhD by UCD in 2018. She completed a surgical fellowship in Benign Advanced Gynaecology at St James’s Hospital in 2019.

Niamh has a wide range of experience including general obstetrics and antenatal care, delivery and labour ward management, management of early pregnancy complications including miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy, fertility investigation, management of PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), postmenopausal bleeding, menstrual disorders, endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, prolapse and hysterectomy. Niamh performs both laparoscopic (“keyhole”) and open gynaecologic surgery.

Niamh is married with 4 children.
